On Friday, October 15, 2021, UFCW leaders and members along with their family and friends will come together to celebrate the 2021 UFCW Minority Coalition Annual Educational Conference and Recognition Awards. You are cordially invited to take part in this very special event. This year’s Conference will be held virtually via Zoom and promises to be as phenomenal as before, as we award outstanding persons for their exceptional service and raise funds to promote Sickle Cell disease education and research.
As always, our conference is the culmination of the Coalition’s week of education, inspiration, and planning. It starts with our Executive Board meeting, followed by a full day-long Education Conference, which will feature dynamic labor and community speakers from the AFL-CIO, UFCW, and other affiliates, as well as the NAACP and activists.
We are still enduring Covid -19 pandemic and there are still inequalities and injustices that we must address. Let's seize the opportunity unite together for social and economic justice in this country, to seize the moment and bring together all workers.
While our Annual Ball has become the premiere fundraising event for the Coalition’s charity, Faces of Our Children (501(c) non-profit organization), due to CDC restrictions, there will not be a fundraising Ball this year. As you know, over the years, with your help, we have increased public awareness, helped families of children with the disease, and supported efforts in finding a cure and we will not stop because of COVID-19. Our success is due in large part to our efforts to bring it to the forefront and your financial support. The Coalition extends its sincere gratitude to all of you and graciously asks for your ongoing help and financial assistance.
Thank you again for your continuing support, and make sure you do not miss this incredible event.
